National Theatre
The National Theatre opened in 1899 and remains closely associated with Henrik Ibsen, Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson and Norway's dramatic canon. Statues of both writers stand outside. A performance offers the fullest encounter, but guided tours may reveal the stages, workshops and historic interiors. Because this is a working theatre, routes and access change with rehearsals and productions.

Nationaltheatret is exceptionally well connected by public transport, with metro, tram, bus and train services all stopping nearby. After Jernbanetorget, Nationaltheatret is the public transport hub with the greatest number of connections in Oslo.

Where is Torshovteatret?
Torshovteatret is located in the Soria Moria building in the Torshov district of Oslo. The address is:
Vogts gate 64, 0477 Oslo
Public Transport
Bus and tram stops are located along Vogts gate, Torshov's principal thoroughfare and the street on which the theatre is situated.
Torshovteatret is just a short walk—approximately one block north of the Torshov stop. The entrance is located at the front right-hand side of the distinctive red, amphitheatre-shaped Soria Moria building. The theatre itself is situated on the second floor.
Alternatively, you can take the metro to Storo and continue by tram or bus to the Torshov stop.
